PRIVATE LESSONS:
Offered to individuals and small groups of adults and serious teenagers. Individual lessons can take place at my North Charlotte studio or in your home. Please let me know if you have a neighborhood group, home school group, or several co-workers or friends who would like to take lessons and have an available location to meet. Lessons are tailored to your interests and can cover a variety of media, including oils, acrylics, and drawing. I also offer gift certificates if you would like to purchase lessons for a family member or friend.

All skill levels; ages 16+.
Drawing is a skill applicable to every medium. In Intermediate Drawing, students will work in both charcoal and graphite to build upon the foundations of drawing. This class is for students with some drawing experience, however, all levels accepted. Instruction will help students improve their drawing skills while examining the importance of line, value, shape, composition, shading and perspective. Recommended supply list will be provided.

PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT FOR TEENS
This class is for teens who want to work on developing their portfolio for private school and college admissions and as otherwise needed. We will begin Session I with a review of each student's portfolio to determine strengths and weaknesses. We will finish Session I by working on sketchbook development and other drawings. In Session II, we will continue our drawings and also work on paintings for your portfolios. Still lifes, landscapes, and the figure will be covered. Handouts will be given with helpful resources. All skill levels, ages 12-18.
DRAWING AND PAINTING
We will study the importance of drawing as it applies to painting. In Session I, students will learn and solidify basic drawing principles, such as line, value, shape, and composition. Students will then apply these drawing techniques and principles to painting in grisaille (in grays). The grisaille will also help with understanding how to handle and apply paint. In Session II, we will examine color and apply all of the principles learned to completing landscape and still life paintings. The class is open to all skill levels, ages 16+.
